Chris Norwood brings more than 46 years of retail experience and numerous accolades for his dedicated service to the floral industry.
He has been an active member of the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) since his induction in 1994, serving as AIFD President in 2006-2007. Recognized for his extraordinary service to the Institute, he was named an AIFD Fellow in 2012 and received the AIFD Award of Distinguished Service to the Industry in 2022. He is a former CEO of the AIFD Foundation and was named Trustee Emeritus in 2024.
The American Academy of Floriculture (AAF) designation was conferred by the Society of American Florists (SAF) for service devoted to the floral industry and his community of Little Rock, Arkansas. He currently serves on the SAF Board of Directors. He is a Past President of Arkansas State Florist Association.
Presenting on state and national stages has provided opportunities to share his incredible knowledge and design expertise. The Professional Floral Communicators International (PFCI) has acknowledged his success with membership in PFCI, though he sees these presentations as simply what he loves to do!
His designs have been featured in Flowers&, Florist Review, Southern Accents and Verandah. Currently, you can find him highlighting everything floral on “Chris and Christina” Facebook Live.
When he is not wowing the floral industry, he and his wife, Renee, are celebrating life with friends and their cherished family, specifically four grandsons and a granddaughter who keep them busy with baseball, a cruise or two and simply enjoying all in life that brings a smile and makes them happy!
Norwood will lead a hands-on workshop and dinner presentation at the Texas Floral Showcase in Midland on Oct. 17.
