Four Generations Contribute to Woods Flowers' Continued Success

Woods Flowers in Temple, Texas, is a family-owned business that opened in 1950 following Verba Woods' graduation from Buddy Benz School of Floral Design in Houston. Woods passed her love of design and her floral skills on to her granddaughter, Carol Hajda, who was introduced to the shop as an infant. In fact, Hadja's baby bassinet found its home in the shop's office!

As Hadja grew up, she began helping around the shop, attended design school and eventually purchased the business from her grandmother. Now, Woods Flowers thrives in Central Texas with four generations contributing to its success. Pictured from left to right are Hadja’s son Blake and his wife, Hadja's daughter Julie and her husband, and Carol and her husband Frank, who is the shop manager.
