Charlie Groppetti AIFD returns to TSFA on Demand with a four-part educational series highlighting seasonal designs. The very essence of Groppetti’s style is vintage-inspired designs cut from the landscape. His decades of experience in the industry include owning a flower shop in California for nearly 20 years. Spontaneous trips in an old flower shop van resulted in a collection of charming American primitives and rural European antiques that led to the development of The Park Hill Collection in 2007. While collecting, he and partner Todd Smith rediscovered their country roots, returning to the homesteading days of grandparents who could craft wonders from any ingredient, whether it was culinary, cloth or cuttings. Growing flowers on his farm located in Vilonia, Arkansas, Groppetti has found inspiration that is reflected in each gathered botanical bouquet. Log in to view the first two episodes in this series.
Renee Tucci AIFD PFCI has more than 20 years of design and leadership experience in the industry. She was inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers in 2016 and Professional Floral Communicators International in 2018.
Tucci has participated in the Philadelphia Flower Show numerous times, including in 2020 when she was honored to be asked to produce The Princess Grace Rose Garden exhibit on behalf of the Embassy of Monaco and 2021 when she brought The Honey Hive exhibit to life. Her first book, Framing Floral Techniques, was published in 2021.
Connecting with fellow designers and bringing the floral community together are among her truest passions. As a speaker to many garden clubs, a freelance floral designer for several studios and an educator on several platforms, she is moved by the lives that she empowers with flowers.
Tucci fills the in-between moments of her life with her loving husband and her three chihuahuas. Some of her favorite things include Craspedia, coffee, carbs and good Mexican food (with a margarita on the side!).

In the event a hands-on component is included in the lesson, a notation is made to the side of the listing below. Click TSFA Virtual Hands-On and review the list of needed materials! Perhaps you have the material list on hand at the shop or can take time to purchase from your local wholesaler. TSFA encourages you to purchase from the Texas Floral Education Underwriters located at the bottom of each page of the TSFA website. Hands-On is certainly not required to take part in the session. More good news is that with the class catalogued at TSFA ON DEMAND, you may gather the materials in advance or at your convenience and go back and watch the techniques again and again!
TSFA is grateful to Tim Farrell AAF AIFD PFCI for presenting an exclusive, in-depth, 15-part series illustrating the elements and principles of design. As a member benefit, the instruction is provided at no charge to TSFA members!
