The Level 1 and Level 2 Teacher Training and Certifications are not required by the Texas Education Agency or the Texas State Florists' Association. These workshops are designed to help you further develop your skills and gain the insight and confidence needed to best prepare students for a successful career in the floral design industry. Designed with the needs of ag teachers in mind, these workshops offer 9 CEU credits each, which may be applied toward your professional development.
The Level 1 Texas Teacher Floral Certification was designed to equip floral design teachers with the skills and experience needed to guide students through the Texas State Florists' Association High School Student Certification process. By attending this one-day, hands-on design workshop, you will gain valuable insight into the certification process and the skills students need to achieve certification. The Level 1 Floral Design Certification is included in the Approved Texas Education Agency List of Industry Based Certifications for students. Attend this certification course to earn 9 CEU credits.
Q. How many years of teaching floral design is required before I may attend the Level 2 Floral Design Certification?
A. A minimum of three years of teaching floral design and Level 1 Floral Design Teacher Certification is required prior to registering for the Level 2 Floral Design Teacher Certification.
Q. Is the Level 1 Floral Design Teacher Certification required prior to registering for the Level 2 certification class?
A. Yes, Level 1 Floral Design Teacher Certification is required prior to registering for the Level 2 certification class.
Level 1 and Level 2 Teacher Training Registrations Will Be Added in 2025.
Level 2 is only available to teachers who have been teaching for three years or more and who have earned the Level 1 certification.
