Building Tomorrow's Workforce — TSFA Certifies High School Students in Floral Design
Retail florists are always looking for floral designers who know how to create the designs needed in a shop on a daily basis. TSFA is fulfilling this need through the development of the Texas High School Floral Design Certification Program. This program allows school districts to provide more value to their graduates and helps equip young, enthusiastic floral designers to meet the floral industry's needs!
Requirements for the certification are enrollment and completion of the year-long TEA-approved floral design curriculum, passing the TSFA knowledge-based written exam and the design of two floral designs in a timed setting.

Additional Information
Certificates from each testing site will be mailed to the teachers by USPS. Teachers will receive administrative rights to view grades from each testing upon registration. View TSFA's testing policies or request testing accommodations below.

Knowledge-Based and Level 1 Hands-On Registration Form
Retesting may take place at a location of choice. Simply select your preference, using the form linked above.
Testing is scheduled with TSFA on a first-come, first-serve basis, using the forms linked above. Teachers are encouraged to register their students for the in-person, hands-on test 30 days or more in advance for the best date and site availability.
Please pay attention to the due dates listed on the registration forms and above. Each date is set to allow for time to order product and supplies. No registration forms will be accepted after the listed date!
Refunds: Transfers or substitutions are welcome prior to the testing date. Cancellations received in writing at the TSFA office five business days prior to the event will receive a refund — minus a 20% handling fee. If you do not cancel or transfer prior to the event date, the entire fee is non-refundable.
