Knowledge-Based Certification — Online Testing

The Texas State Florists' Association Knowledge-Based Certification is an Industry Based Certification for High School accountability and has been included on the Texas Education Agency Approved List of Industry-Based Certifications.

TSFA Knowledge-Based Certification

Available in English and Spanish, this industry certification will test the student's knowledge of the floral industry, including common terms associated with daily floral tasks. Students will identify common tools and plants used in the floral industry. Teachers receive an administrative log-in to the knowledge-based platform, and students will receive their testing login information once the approved registration spreadsheet has been uploaded by the TSFA office.

The knowledge-based test may be taken at any time during the school year, at the teacher's discretion. Once your student has successfully passed the knowledge-based certification test, you may log in and download the student's certificate of completion.

Students must be enrolled in a floral or approved art class.

Pricing Information

• Knowledge-Based Test — $30 per student.
• Knowledge-Based Retest — $20 per student.
