Edwin Fimbel CFD TMFA Assumes Presidency of the Texas State Florists’ Association

LEANDER, TEXAS (Sept. 1, 2024) — The Texas State Florists’ Association (TSFA) is pleased to welcome Edwin Fimbel CFD TMFA as its new president. Selected by TSFA members during the annual election on June 22, Fimbel succeeds Susan Piland AIFD CFD TMF, who begins a one-year term as Immediate Past President.

An active member of TSFA for more than four decades, Fimbel was first elected to the board of directors in 1999 and returned to the board as a retail director in 2021. “The floral industry has been great to me and I hope I can give back just a little by helping to educate people from all walks of life,” said Fimbel in an interview for the April 2024 edition of TEXAS in Bloom. “That is why I’ve served on the TSFA Education Committee for so many years and continue to do so today.” Fimbel’s collaborative leadership approach is evident in his slogan, “Working TOGETHER to bring out the best in TSFA.”

Joining Fimbel and Piland on the board of directors are returning members Treasurer and Wholesale Director John Priest, First Vice President Marisa Guerrero AIFD CFD TMF and Retail Directors Yolanda Amos TMFA and Iuliia Prokhorova CFD TMF. Newly elected to the board are Second Vice President Amy Neugebauer AIFD CFD PFCI TMFA, Retail Director Brandy Ferrer AIFD CFD TMF and Grower Director Jimmy Klepac.
