Educational Resources

TSFA offers a variety of certifications for high school students, teachers and floral design professionals. Drawing on decades of experience and immeasurable industry knowledge, TSFA can help guide each step from your first year in floral design classes to becoming a Texas Master Florist.

• High School Students — TSFA’s Knowledge-based, Level 1 and Level 2 Floral Design Certifications are recognized by the Texas Education Agency and used by school districts across the state.
• Teachers — Floral design teachers may enhance their floral industry knowledge and further develop their skills by earning TSFA’s Level 1 and Level 2 Floral Design Certifications. Check the events list for a date and location near you!
• Floral Industry Professionals
  • Texas Master Florist® Program — Advance your career with this 10-course certification program! TSFA members accepted into the TMF program must complete seven online classes, three hands-on design courses and a final exam to earn TMF certification. A fast-track option is available for individuals with the Certified Floral Designer® (CFD) or American Institute of Floral Design® (AIFD) designation.
  • Professional Certified Florist® Program — Due to national interest in the TMF program, TSFA now offers the Professional Certified Florist® Program for members of other state organizations. Email tsfaadmin@tsfa.org to learn more.

TEXAS in Bloom

For more than 50 years, the TEXAS in Bloom magazine has informed floral industry professionals throughout the state. This valuable resource presents new ideas about how to make your business more successful, keeps you up to date on issues of concern to the industry, highlights upcoming events in your area, introduces new products, announces legislative changes and celebrates accomplishments throughout the floral industry. The magazine is mailed to all TSFA members monthly, except in June, when members receive the TSFA Membership Directory instead.
