The Level 1 and Level 2 Teacher Training and Certifications are not required by the Texas Education Agency or TSFA. These workshops are designed to help you further develop your skills and gain the insight and confidence needed to best prepare students for a successful career in the floral design industry. Created with the needs of agriculture teachers in mind, these workshops offer 9 CEU credits each, which may be applied toward your professional development.
These certification courses provide floral design teachers with the skills and experience needed to guide high school students through TSFA's certification process. By attending this one-day, hands-on design workshop, you will gain valuable insight into the certification process and the skills students need to achieve certification. The Level 1 Floral Design Certification includes the Knowledge-Based Floral Design Component. Attend this certification course to earn 9 CEU credits.

Important Information
The Level 1 certification class is intended for teachers with some floral design knowledge. Successful candidates have reviewed the floral design videos available in the Info Hub, completed the knowledge-based certification test and practiced the Level 1 symmetrical and rose boutonniere designs prior to attending the class.Â
The Level 2 teacher certification class is for teachers who have successfully passed Level 1 Floral Certification. To earn this certification, you must have practiced the Level 2 asymmetrical design, corsage and rose arrangement and must demonstrate knowledge of the related concepts. New in 2025, completion of a portfolio is required before testing for Level 2 certification.
If you register for Level 1 and Level 2 teacher certification classes together, you must earn your Level 1 certification to qualify for the Level 2 certification class. The Level 2 class cannot be taken until you have earned Level 1 certification.
